If you’re doing some shopping on La Brea, keep Zozo in your back pocket for a quirky lunch break. And when we say quirky, we mean it. This colorful cafe is located inside Maison Midi, an upscale home goods store that looks like a rich French grandmother’s attic. Rattan chairs hang on the wall and cabinets filled with tchotchkes surround yellow banquettes where diners eat salmon and sip white sangria. The menu is a bit all over the place—turkey clubs, nicoise salads, red chili tamales, and pastrami tacos topped with sauerkraut—and while none of it is particularly memorable, it oddly suits the space. Just don’t forget your receipt, it gets you a 10% discount at American Rag next door.
