If you want the absolute best craft beer in LA (and to experience a brewery on the verge of Greatest Of All Time status), head to Monkish immediately. They still have their 9.4% ABV Feminist Belgian-style tripel of course, but Monkish seems to has punched their ticket on the IPA train to legendary status. This all-Belgian brewery was the first to start brewing unfiltered Northeast-style IPAs (hazy and juicy) on the West coast, and now every brewery from here to Seattle is following suit. Due to people actually camping out overnight, they’ve stopped doing new releases altogether on the weekends, and only do weekdays now.

Phantom Carriage is a South Bay brewery with a palpable horror film decor theme - it’s more fun than it sounds.
