Hart House is a plant-based fast-casual chain by actor/comedian/self-proclaimed flexitarian Kevin Hart. Located a few blocks from LAX, this is the vegan alternative to the traditional  In-N-Out pitstop after a long flight. The Double Burg’r here follows the blueprint of most fast food burgers: two thin (plant-based) patties, caramelized onions, and a sweet Thousand Island sauce. You’ll probably want to skip the chalky-tasting, heavily processed vegan cheese, though. What Hart House does best is great vegan milkshakes and plant-based chicken sandwiches that can hold their own against actual poultry. Get the Deluxe Crispy Chick’n, topped with sweet-tangy slaw, honey mustard, and a fried tofu-like patty dipped in spicy chili oil.
