Small but perfectly formed best describes both Three Sheets' creative drinks menu and the cocktail bar itself. The trendy little nook in Dalston is made for drinks à deux. The sleek marble-topped tables are only really big enough for two high stools to fit around and the intimate mood is set by the flickering light from candles bouncing off glasses, exposed brick wall, and steamed-up windows once it gets cold outside. The cocktails riff on the familiar but are served with inventive twists—its cosmo comes with fermented raspberry and a vodka martini is given a beetroot makeover. But you won't regret going off menu and asking for a classic—the icy, crisp, clean gin martini with a twist is one of the best in the city.
