You’ll walk into Pipoca Vegan looking for a chocolate crêpe to snack on, and leave with a full stomach, three bags of nuts, and roughly 12 pictures of the cute dog by the till. A cool spot that feels a bit Whole Foods gone wholesome, this Brixton vegan cafe and grocery store is a great place for a sit-down lunch when you’re in the mood for a nourishing bowl that is as satisfying as it is exciting. Dry flowers hang from the ceiling and people filter into this calm, industrial-looking spot where cold metal chairs don’t encourage lingering, but the menu, with dishes like homely, moreish feijoada bowls, does. And if you don’t return for the lentil-stuffed vegan lasagne, you will for more pictures of that little dog.
