Bar La Rampa

You’ll find La Rampa just behind Oxford Street, and it packs that same chaotic breed of feral energy that makes you think you need a medicinal dose of tequila, stat. Luckily, the best thing at this Latin American restaurant is the frozen margaritas that you can sip and savour to saxophone tunes from the live band. Between the thriving foliage and rustic wooden bar, it looks like a sepia-filtered postcard of ‘50s Havana, but the unseasoned guacamole and sloppy ceviche taste like an amateur hour British take on Latin classics. Your best bet is to stop by for a quick drink during the £7 cocktail happy hour, but be warned that it tends to be loud, so any first dates or catch-ups will quickly morph into a shouting match.
