Some cheeky mezze before H&M? Shish taouk after tackling Carnaby Street? Small Lebanese spot Aline is ideally located off Regent’s Street for a mid-shop refuel. But the hit and miss menu means you need to order correctly. Pull up your notes app, here’s what to get: one hommus (thick, creamy, and nutty), the fatteh (with the additional aubergine for some extra oomph), and some cold mezze (this is generally a safe section on the menu so pick whatever appeals to you). A meal here won’t blow you away, but the bright, cheerful space will provide a comfortable, and at times delicious, escape from one of the busiest streets in the city.
