Some parts of central London feel extremely privileged, but Fitzrovia should feel privileged to have Akoko in its vicinity. The West African fine dining restaurant makes fantastic food and it’s a rare tasting menu restaurant that doesn’t make you feel like you’re paying to be in a school assembly. Their takes on miyan taushe (pumpkin soup) and jollof rice are particularly delicious, but it’s unlikely you’ll be disappointed by anything on this tasting menu.
