Frank's Pizza
Just as the sun rises each morning, you can expect to see Frank’s bicycle delivery riders hurtling across Downtown during the lunch rush, or throngs of weekend bar goers lining up for a sobering slice after last call. Inside, the restaurant is long and skinny with a tiny balcony seating area and a few counter sets in the front window. Posters of movies filmed or set in Houston—notable titles include Blind Fury and RoboCop 2, obviously—line the walls, as does a massive tiled mural of Downtown Houston. Wait in line for large slices of pepperoni, or just order a whole pie. While this may not be the best New York-style pizza you’ve ever had—although it almost always tastes incredible after midnight—Frank’s is reliable and consistent. Exactly what you want after a long night out or for a quick mid-day lunch on the go. Just make sure to keep the line moving.
