Flora, an upscale Mexican restaurant off Allen Parkway along Buffalo Bayou, has an unbeatable view of the bayou, and they also serve food. Inside, constellations of glitzy chandeliers reflect against floor-to-ceiling windows, while outside, long sticks of palo santo perfume the tree-enclosed patio. The food here won’t blow your mind. In fact, the food here is all pretty mediocre, but it will certainly blow your budget, especially at $26 for shrimp tacos or $20 for queso. Really, you’re here for the beautiful space, to watch the bayou float by (or things float by in the bayou), and to see and be seen.
