Mandy was born and raised in Miami. She has tons of pride for her city, and just like Pitbull, she lives by the motto “305, Till I Die.” Ever since graduating with a master’s degree in food studies 10 years ago, she’s been researching, writing, and talking about Miami culture and history any chance she gets. She is also the author of The Sizzling History of Miami Cuisine: Cortaditos, Stone Crabs, and Empanadas, which details Miami’s rich food history.
