Two things stand out at Yep Kitchen: the eye-popping orange booths and the fact that there isn’t a single table for two. This casual Chinese spot is ideal for group meals—tables in the second dining room are decked out with lazy susans. Orders are placed via tablet, where, after perusing the Infinite Jest-length menu, you send your request directly to the kitchen. And while none of the food is mind-blowing, the bowls of wonton noodle soup and steam baskets full of dumplings are reliably satisfying. Plus, Yep is open until 1am, making it a solid backup if Chi Cafe is packed.
