Yellowtail Sushi

This relaxed Lakeview restaurant is a reliable spot for a low-key date or group dinner. Yellowtail’s nigiri and sashimi are solid, while dishes like crispy fried tofu with ponzu make a great pre-sushi snack. It’s BYOB and has reasonably priced rolls (like the $16 Okaido maki with spicy tuna and unagi), so you won’t have to check your credit card balance in between bites. Weekends get pretty busy (in the front and at the bustling sushi counter in back), so reservations are a good idea. But if you’re spontaneously rolling in on a random Wednesday with some friends with a bottle of wine, you should be fine.
