Piazza Bella is a Roscoe Village Italian spot that works as a great catchall for all sorts of dining needs. Date night? Piazza Bella. Family in town? Piazza Bella. Fresh out of Bertolli and Trader Joe’s marinara? Piazza Bella. And based on how busy it gets, it seems like everyone in the neighborhood goes here. The long dining room is often packed with couples drinking wine, tables of parents, grandparents, and hungry children, and the occasional college students capitalizing on complimentary bread and drinking beer at the bar. The tender chicken parm with spaghetti and saucy brisket tortellini are some of our pasta favorites, and we like snacking on the peppery, crispy calamari once we’ve eaten all of the free bread.
