Peking Mandarin
Peking Mandarin’s menu has lots of Chinese dishes like kung pao chicken or Mongolian beef, but it’s the Korean-Chinese staples that make this casual Albany Park spot a destination. The crispy fried pork in the tangsuyuk seems to defy physics and doesn’t get soggy in the sweet and sour sauce, and their cha chiang mein has plenty of delicious umami flavor. Stop by for takeout, or grab one of the tables in their large dining room and enjoy a family-style feast complete with old-school Chinese zodiac placemats. Just a heads up: they only take cash or Zelle.
