Loba Pastry And Coffee
Included in
In the shadow of the Addison brown line stop, Loba Pastry + Coffee lies in wait, ready to feed you canelés and scones baked on-site. And unlike its she-wolf namesake, this minimalist coffee shop/small-batch bakery is nothing but friendly. Everyone—from the baristas, to the bakers visible in the windowed kitchen, to the people inhaling pineapple sourdough muffins—is upbeat and seems to have one thing in common: a deep and abiding love for the pastries here. The menu rotates regularly, and hours and seating are fairly limited. On weekends Loba is packed with people angling to try one of their interesting baked goods (like a crispy-on-the-outside, custardy-on-the-inside, sesame-topped “emmie”) before it’s too late. Plan accordingly.
