Dusek's
Between Dusek’s, its adjoining bars Tack Room and Punch House, and the attached concert venue, you can spend hours at this tavern in Pilsen and never get bored. Dusek’s is located in Thalia Hall, a 130-year-old theater built by a saloonkeeper who wanted to be a promoter before concert promoters were a thing. The restaurant gives off a neighborhood pub vibe, having plenty of bar seating, tables, and moody lighting that’s not so dark you can’t read the eclectic menu. Dishes change regularly but are reliably good, like pimento cheese sandwiches, sweet and sour eggplant, and pork chops. The $22 burger, beer, and bourbon special on their late-night menu (served from 9pm during the week and 11pm on the weekend) is a great option after catching a show next door.
