Chicago Kalbi Korean BBQ

At this Albany Park institution, Japanese yakiniku and Korean BBQ come together in a cozy space that feels like the Japanese baseball hall of fame. Signed baseballs line the front bar and autographed photos of home run greats decorate the walls (though they should update the collection with Shohei’s). But don't just come to admire the memorabilia, plan a visit for the delicious grilled meats.

They have a variety of cuts like spicy marinated pork belly, beef tongue, and Japanese wagyu—which you get to cook yourself on their charcoal grills. Every meal also comes with some banchan, but be sure to also order a few appetizers like seafood pajun or crispy kara-age.
