It’s really easy for North End pizza places to get lost in the tourist-choked, candle-lit shuffle of the neighborhood. Ask just about anyone about North End pizza, and they’ll talk about Regina and Umberto first, and then any one of approximately 86 other places third. But Ducali deserves to be mentioned up there with the classics. This place is essentially a pizza-centric bar serving really good Roman-style pies and a small selection of paninis and appetizers. It’s one of the few places where we actually like the standard cheese pizza more than the margherita, though the real star is the aragosta topped with lobster, guanciale, and mascarpone.
