With bamboo-lined walls and enough sticks and branches hanging from the ceiling to house several families of migratory birds, going to Banyan in the South End feels a little like eating in a treehouse in the mountains outside of Seoul. It’s got a great menu of Korean-ish fusion dishes like a wagyu beef burger topped with kimchi pimento cheese, and with $1 dumplings, it features one of the best happy hour deals in the city. Banyan is good any time of the year, but particularly great in the summer when you can sit on the sidewalk tables out front.
