Pacha Organic Cafe
Pacha has been around since 2000, and in a lot of ways it just exudes Old Austin hippie diner vibes, with a similar scrappy DIY ethos that you’d find at iconic ATX spots like The Omelettry, Kerbey Lane, and Magnolia Cafe. It’s pretty casual with counter service, but there are proper coffee drinks made with an espresso machine, and the food is slightly better than it needs to be—think loaded omelettes, buttery quiches, and their iconic (and enormous) pear-bacon-scallion pancakes. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s a place you can stumble into and get a red eye after a long night out without too much of a wait. Or grab a coffee and some breakfast tacos and get a bunch of studying done. Or both.
