This coffee joint carries the laissez-faire attitude of the surrounding Kirkwood neighborhood. Single light bulbs hanging from blue wires dangle down into the center of the room for that “we just opened” effect when in fact they’ve been in business since 2014. The mornings feature coffee usuals with a side of pastries from Alon’s Bakery (get the stuffed ham and cheese empanada). But later in the day their beer taps open up with craft brews, making it the perfect spot for a first date with options to get whatever type of buzz the situation calls for.
