When you want a true seed-to-cup experience, head to JavaVino, a small family-owned coffee and wine shop in Poncey-Highland. The cafe sources beans from their own Nicaraguan coffee farm, which is like super boss moves. The venue is on the smaller side so beware of the potential for awkward silences if you bring someone with you. But it’s perfect for days when we crave a little solitude while sipping their most popular drink, a sweet honey vanilla latte. For sustenance, get the breakfast burrito that we swear weighs about five pounds. The spinach and herb tortilla is grilled and stuffed to the brim with egg, pico, and fresh guac.
