Highland Bakery

Highland Bakery has been a reliable favorite for breakfast and sandwiches since 2004 when new ownership turned the historic 1930s bakery into a bonafide restaurant. Ever since their original Old Fourth Ward location closed, we've adopted their counter-service outpost on the GSU campus as our go-to for delicious, gooey cinnamon rolls and fluffy sweet potato pancakes. And if you're in for lunch, it's always a good call to get a sandwich—the bread has the springy softness of a fresh baked loaf. Get the grilled pimento cheese, paired with sharp Vermont cheddar for extra tang, and add crispy bacon.
