El Rey Del Taco

El Rey Del Taco on Buford Highway consistently serves up some of our favorite tacos in Atlanta. Bright brick walls painted loud shades of lime green, hot pink, and purple alongside paper decorations hanging from the ceiling all signal (literally, it’s written on the signs) fiesta time. And it certainly is a party—for our palate. Their variety of taco fillings are unmatched with options like octopus, cabeza, buche, lengua, and a beef and goat barbacoa. All of the proteins are juicy and tender, so we sometimes flip a coin to help us order. The handmade tortillas offer a bigger (and better) taco, but sometimes we like to get the mini tacos (under $4), which are optimal for trying one of everything.
