The 5 Best Things To Eat At State Farm Arena

We hit every food stall in the Hawks stadium. And these are our five favorites.

As Hawks superfans, we have some helpful notes for the State Farm Arena concession’s team. For starters, how about some kind of Ice Trae shot served in an actual ice tray? And we know we’re asking for a lot, but anything you can do to push the Hawks toward the NBA title would be fantastic. Until then, we’ll keep our fingers crossed and find our place in line for the spots on this guide—who are making our favorite foods in the stadium.

THE SPOTS

Wings | J.R. Crickets

Locations: Sections 110 & 220

It’s no surprise this iconic wing spot makes the list of best State Farm Arena foods. Although this location didn’t top our J.R. Crickets Power Ranking, there’s something elite about snacking on lemon pepper flats and crinkle fries while watching young phenom Jalen Johnson windmill dunk. Two locations in the arena make it easy to find your way to the unofficial wing ministry of the city.

Wings | Zac Brown's Social Club

Sections 113 and 114

If Crickets’ wings aren’t your bag (or the line is just too long), hit up Zac Brown’s Social Club on the first level. We already know Zac likes his chicken fried with a cold beer on a Friday night, but it turns out he also has a taste for smoked chicken wings with a little dab of tangy BBQ sauce. Forget the flats vs. drums debate because Zac gives you the whole damn wing. Plenty of meat inside makes the $15 price point for just four wings go down a little easier.

Pizza | Dolo's

Sections 108 and 109

If you’re in a pizza mood (which is our auto-mode), then head straight to Dolos, which is your tastiest choice out of all the stadium’s slice options. You can see the Dolos staff topping these personal pies and pulling them straight from the oven—it’s a just-off-the-bench freshness that’s missing from most concession stands. The crust is a bit thin, but it’s sturdy enough to support all the cheese, chorizo, and veggies if you decide to do the fold and bite technique.

Fries | Old Lady Gang & Zac Brown's Social Club

Section 121

Don’t get us wrong, we’ll polish off a basket of frozen french fries anytime. But hand cut fries will always be in our starting line up. And the fresh, thinly cut fries from the Old Lady Gang and Zac Brown stalls are our favorite fries in the stadium. They’re good on their own, so you don’t even have to wait in the line for ketchup and risk missing that play that’ll be all over SportsCenter tomorrow.

Steak Sandwich | Zac Brown's Social Club

Section 113 and 114

Popcorn, hot dogs, and pizza slices are always the easiest things to eat when arm room is a challenge and when your stadium seat neighbors are doing the most with their thundersticks. But we’re adding the steak sandwich from Zac Brown’s Social Club to that list. It has minimal mess from a little smear of chimichurri along with reasonably tasty steak, peppers, and onions all on soft ciabatta bread. Pair it with some fries, and we’re calling game.
