Happy Gyro

Happy Gyro is a carry-out only restaurant in Dupont Circle that specializes in pizza, ice cream, and wine, three (almost) universal human desires. Running at around $7 a slice, the pizzas here include options like white pizza made with pecorino, garlic cream, and mozzarella cheese, and a classic vodka pizza on fresh semolina sourdough. Both are delicious. For sides, the shawarma spiced wings are superb and the ice cream might be some of the best we’ve ever had with flavors like coconut sorbet with passion fruit & chocolate. But our absolute favorite is the simple but forever classic vanilla fudge, which is rich and creamy and something that we would gladly eat at any moment, any minute, any time of day.
