When you hear the word “glizzy,” plants probably don’t pop into your head. But Glizzys Vegan Food Company is looking to change that. The vegan restaurant, which made its mark as a food truck, now has a brick-and-mortar home at the Sycamore & Oak Retail Village in Congress Heights where it’s serving damn good fake meat. The plant-based sausages are well seasoned and topped with things like pickled onions, lentil chili, and southern slaw. Grab a seat at one of the tables in the wooden open-air shopping center, where you can catch karaoke on Wednesday nights from 6-9pm.
