This casual Chinese restaurant in the Sunset likes to have fun—just look to their eponymous potstickers to see what we mean. They’re the size of a dollar coin, adorable as hell, and audibly crunch when you bite into the crisp bottoms. This place also serves other textbook-great dumplings, like precisely folded xiao long bao and boiled pork and napa cabbage dumplings with chewy handmade wrappers. While they also serve made-to-order jianbing (dubbed here “Chinese burritos”), they’re not well-stuffed or as flavorful as we’d like—just focus your attention on the dumplings.

Mini Pan Fried Pork Bun

These tiny soup-filled buns are the best thing on the menu, so naturally, the whole place is named after them. You could do one order (12 pieces) for the table, but the more realistic move is to hog an entire plate all to yourself.

Braised Beef Noodles

If you’re in the mood for soup, get this. The rich broth, soft hunks of beef, and chewy noodles make it a fantastic non-dumpling entrée.

Steamed Soup XLB

An excellent version of the classic. The tops of the dumplings are hand-twisted into chewy little nubs, and there’s a substantial amount of soup in each.

Chinese Burrito

You can personalize your jianbing (called Chinese burritos here), and we like sticking with the thin slices of beef and chicken. The “burrito” is sizable and a good value for $13.99, but the salty-sweet-spicy flavors feel a bit muted. We’d skip and stick with the dumplings instead.
