District Tea
This boba shop in the Mission is just a little counter in a room about the size of a studio (also known as a closet). But somehow, in this tiny white space, they manage to pump out a wide selection of teas and a surprising number of small bites. Consider any of the milk teas, but our favorite is the Hong Kong-style milk tea with its wonderful earthy-rich and sweet balance. And if you’re feeling a bit peckish, consider the spam musubis, Korean corn dogs, and takoyaki, or the truly incredible pork katsu sandwich. The bread is as pillowy as a cloud, the cabbage is light and refreshing, and the pork cutlet is one of the juiciest pieces of meat we’ve had to date. Run here for this behemoth of a sandwich, and then wash it down with some perfectly great boba.
