Curry Hyuga
Included In
The Japanese curry from Curry Hyuga in the Mission pulls us in when we want a filling, comforting, and affordable meal, but we also love their creamy corn potage soup for its super sweet corn flavor that lingers on your tongue. There are six curry rice plates to choose from, like the signature katsu curry with pork loin or chicken cutlet and the double menchi curry with minced pork fried to an ASMR-inducing crisp. Each plate can be customized almost limitlessly, with six pepper shakers on each table and the option to add additional karaage, vegetables, cheese, pickles, and even an egg. But don’t let all the toppings distract you from the main event: the rich curry and crunchy katsu—you can get extra of both of those too (and you should).
