Homey fried chicken sandwiches get a slightly cheffy makeover at this upscale fast-casual joint from the MoSuke team. In the bright, airy dining room in the 14th, you’ll feast on juicy, never greasy chicken with breading so crispy it'll crowd out the voices of the local couples, teens, and tourists crammed in next to you. At peak hours, this teeny spot has a hard time fulfilling the "fast" promise, but these sandwiches are worth the wait. The cutlets are kissed with housemade hot sauce and miso mayo and piled on pretzel bread made by the Alsatian baker across the street. The malty buns are the sleeper hit, balancing a pillowy texture with a structural integrity that holds up until the last bite. While the sandwiches are rich and substantial enough on their own, you should make it a combo meal (a €21.50 bargain for the quality) with housemade ginger juice and crispy battered sweet potato fries served with Cajun spiced mayo.
