Edessa Restaurant Kurdish Turkish Cuisine
It was Jesus (ever heard of him?) who said: man does not live on bread alone. Well, we would argue the feta-stuffed borek at Edessa could single-handedly sustain life. This crackly-on-top, stretchy-on-the-sides spiral of impossibly fresh hot dough wrapped around the perfect amount of cheese is a transcendent experience. Add on some Turkish coffee and possibly the greatest baba ghanoush of all time—it’s cool, creamy, and packed with fresh herb flavor—and you might be tempted to change your address to one of the cozy booths here. The claypot kabob might be more exciting to see poured out tableside than it is to eat, so come to Edessa when you want to catch up with friends and share a spread of appetizers.
