Sparkle's Burger & Daiquiri Spot

Sparkle’s is the sort of understated counter-service spot you can always count on, whether you pop in during the day for a BLT breakfast sandwich, or when you want to end your night with a mammoth burger and fries. Customers regularly lean on the counter that’s piled high with slices of pound cake and shoot the breeze with the cashier while they wait for the massive fried fish sandwiches on white bread or a double cheeseburger with extra onion rings. The wings at Sparkle’s are crispy, and coated in a lemon-pepper rub that’s cheesy, garlicky, and just begging to be dunked in their ranch. You can also pledge your allegiance to either the Northside or the Southside daiquiris. They’re both frozen, fruity, and have double the rum you’d expect them to, so the only real choice is whether you want your tongue stained bright blue or red. The space is pretty small, so unless you eat at one of three available tables inside, you’ll probably be standing just outside of their doors, unhinging your jaw for another bite of the meaty double cheeseburger.
