Vaanga calls itself a “crazy Indian place” and claims to make the only samosa burger in America. That’s a lot of talk for a place that pretty much only exists for the purpose of serving downtown lunches (it’s small, closes at 9pm, and doesn’t deliver). But regardless of how crazy it may or may not be, it is pretty good. Don’t bother with the samosa burger, which is merely a flat, dry samosa wedged in between two pretty plain patties, but the chaats are very good (try the dahi poori) and the curries get the job done. If you work Downtown, add it to your lunch rotation.
