Shay’s is one of Harvard Square’s best Irish pubs, a little basement spot that looks like it was shipped over from Cork in pieces and reassembled on JFK Street. It’s got a nice little sunken patio, and it calls itself a wine bar, which is true in the sense that it has wine (and some affordable options), but not in the sense of what anyone understands the term wine bar” to mean.
