Is it worth waiting in line on Hanover to eat some Italian food at Carmelina’s? Honestly - no, but it’s still a good place to hit up if you want red sauce dishes that are done well, in a place that’s fun and crowded but which doesn’t try too hard to look like an Italian restaurant on the set of Newsies. We like sitting at the bar in front of the open kitchen and going with the frutti di mare.
