Pepper’s tagline is “wiener slingers,” and that’s a pretty good summation of this pop-up that primarily serves hot dogs. Their website posts a weekly schedule of where they’ll be around the city (places like Punk Foodie at Ponce and the Holiday Bar). And they're worth tracking down because Pepper's makes some of our favorite dogs in the city. Three options (beef, chicken, or vegetarian) come in a fluffy potato bun. Choosy folks can create their own dog with 12 topping choices like chili, cheese, and BBQ sauce. But we never visit without ordering the Damn Dog—melted mozzarella cheese, caramelized onion, spicy jalapeños, all topped with truffle aioli.
