The 4 Best Things To Eat At Mercedes-Benz Stadium

With tasty burgers and wings, the Falcons are doing all they can to keep Super Bowl-hungry fans from rising up.

Hungry Falcons fans, this is your year. No, we can’t promise Kirk Cousins will bring us an NFC South title just yet, but if you’re famished while attending a game, Mercedes-Benz Stadium has got you covered like an All-Pro cornerback. The venue revolutionized the concessions playbook a few seasons back by slashing prices on crowd pleasers like dogs and nachos. We all thought the move was a publicity stunt. It wasn’t. The prices are still there, and so are we.

As good as a $2 hot dog sounds, we had to sample the stadium offerings for ourselves. After nibbling in the main concourse, the high-end club section, and everywhere in between, these are the four bites we'll still have on our minds long after the Falcons game ends.

Big Dave’s Cheesesteak

Location: Sections 106 and 226

Beyond affordable prices, one of the Benz’s other goals is providing a platform for local businesses. One of the tastiest is Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks (which made our best cheesesteaks guide). If you’ve seen the line at the downtown location, the queue at either stadium stall won’t startle you. Just know whatever the wait is, it’ll be worth it once you rip into a sandwich spilling over with grilled ribeye, white American cheese, and diced onions stuffed into a lightly toasted hoagie.

West Nest Wings

Location: Sections 115 and 324

The Westside Works Culinary Academy is an organization focused on showing culinary students from Atlanta’s underserved areas the ins and outs of the restaurant business. An admirable effort, sure, but the only thing you’ll care about is how well the aspiring chefs cook whole fried wings. The answer: very well. While you can’t go wrong with them tossed in lemon-pepper seasoning, the sweet, subtle heat from the West Nest Wings’ maple buffalo sauce is something remarkable.

H+F Burger

Location: Mercedes-Benz Club and Delta Sky360 Club

Mercedes-Benz Club and Delta Sky360 Club seats can set you back a pretty penny, but with so many all-you-can-eat, high-end buffet items and food-stall options included with your ticket, the investment makes sense. One item easily worth the price of admission is the H+F burger. The double patties are juicy, just like you’d find at the Ponce City Market location. The burger is topped with american cheese, pickles, and onions, and comes with an ample side of fries. That you can grab another one whenever you want (without reaching for your wallet) makes it even tastier.

Club-Level Jerk Chicken

Location: AMG Lounge and Truist Club

Jerk chicken at a Falcons game? Yeah, we were a little hesitant when we saw it on the club-level buffet line. But the moment we effortlessly slid our plastic fork through the meat, we figured the chef knew what he was doing. The thighs had a good char to them. The seasoning had some pop. The sliced peppers gave the dish a little color. Though buffet items rotate, if you’re ever so lucky to attend a game on jerk chicken day, you’d be wise to make a spot for a piece on your plate.
