Chris StangCo-Founder & CEO
Since its inception in 2009, Stang has been the architect of The Infatuation’s editorial voice, creative vision, and marketing strategy. Today his role still encompasses all of those things, but also includes pushing the company forward into new arenas, including the creation and launch of Text Rex, and EEEEEATSCON, The Infatuation’s food festival. He was nominated for a James Beard Award in 2015 for Underfinger, a review of a restaurant that doesn’t exist, and he still writes from time to time about real restaurants. Prior to taking on The Infatuation full time, Stang was the VP of Marketing at Atlantic Records, working closely with many of the label’s biggest acts including Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Skrillex, Gnarls Barkley, and Panic! At The Disco.
Andrew SteinthalCo-Founder & CRO
Steinthal is the quarterback of The Infatuation sales and partnerships team, using his skill set as a former music business publicist to build deep, meaningful relationships with like minded brands such as American Express, Samsung, PAIGE, Anheuser-Busch, Whole Foods, Jameson, Airbnb, Delta and more. Steinthal was born in Manhattan and grew up in Scarsdale, where he still returns quite often to visit the Candlelight Inn and get dirty on a big sloppy bowl of wings. He’s scared of cheese, hates mushrooms, and refuses to eat olives. His true food passions include cereal, ice cream, and chocolate chip cookies. Weird, we know. Prior to going full time Infatuation, Steinthal was the VP of PR at Warner Bros. Records. His dream would be to own the Knicks some day.
Hillary ReinsbergEditor In Chief
A native New Yorker and talented writer, editor, and human, Hillary Reinsberg was the third person to join The Infatuation full time. She came to us via BuzzFeed, where she held an editorial position in their News & Japanese Snacks Department. Just kidding. She does really love Japanese snacks though.
Katherine LewinManaging Editor
Katherine Lewin lives in Greenpoint, so she’s definitely cooler than you are. She also grew up in Austin and went to college in Los Angeles, so she’s also far more knowledgeable about BBQ and sushi than any of us can ever hope to be. Along with writing features and reviewing restaurants, Katherine’s job at The Infatuation is to keep all of our other city editors in line, by any means necessary. Her previous roles include copywriting at J.Crew, and Drill Sergeant at Navy SEALS.
Bryan KimNYC Staff Writer
Bryan showed up one day to snake out our drain, and he never left. He’s an enigma wrapped in duck prosciutto, which is why he smells like duck prosciutto. Hobbies include skiing and fencing. His hobbies do not, however. He’s from Seattle, and if he could only eat one food for the rest of his life he’d be upset and confused. Bryan’s previous employers include Dr. Ian Bell DDS, The Gap, and Le Bernardin.
Nell PotterDirector Of Growth
Nell Potter grew up in Tribeca, went to school in Nashville, and returned to New York City in the summer of 2015 to join The The Infatuation. Job offers she turned down before accepting said position include: Fuel Cell Engineer for the Hyperloop, Marine Biologist, CEO of some agency, and Vice President of the United States.
Buck HerouxChief Technology Officer
Raised in a pizza kitchen in a ski town and educated at University of Colorado, Buck Heroux is both the person you want working on technology for your company, and the person you want to be caught in an avalanche with (he always has pizza on him). Before coming to The Infatuation, Buck worked on streetview cars at Microsoft (acquired by Uber), secret things at Palantir, and Next Big Sound, which sold to Pandora. He would also like you to know that he is not a strong swimmer.
Brant CoxLA Editorial Lead
Sam FayeDirector of Operations
Originally hailing from the great city of Detroit, Sam Faye has spent an immeasurable amount of time eating in Chicago’s greatest (and often most mediocre) restaurants. Having spent more than two years as The Infatuation’s Chicago Content Lead, we bailed him out from eating two dinners every night and moved him to New York to run operations. He still eats two dinners on occasion, but that’s his own decision.
Jackie WidmannPartnerships Account Director
Jackie started at The Infatuation in early 2015, and her full time role is running point on partnerships of all shapes and sizes. She also advises the rest of us on what words to use so that young people like us. She originally hails from Westchester, but recently discovered Runyon Canyon and the sun and is considering a move to LA.
Jess Basser SandersLA Managing Editor
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Jess has lived in Los Angeles for four years and is now fully assimilated. She drives everywhere, hates cold weather, and somehow even enjoys exercise. As a child, she only ate about five foods - six if you count things that come off “the barbie” as one. Obviously things have changed. She also recently educated the rest of the team on the Australian sport of “net ball” which is objectively not a sport.
Jesse RoseHead of Product
Jesse is a George Washington University alumn and native of Salem, Mass, where he developed an affinity for technology and witch hunts. Yoko Ono once changed his diaper, and he will someday inherit multiple James Beard awards (through no accomplishments of his own). He is also the owner and sometimes owned by a small dog named Rex.
Marisa DunnCities Coordinator
Even though she’s originally from Maryland, Carolina blue and white run through Marisa’s blood. And just like how fellow UNC alum Michael Jordan is really good at basketball, Marisa is really good at winning our office NCAA basketball pool every year. She’s also really good at setting up and operating our new markets as we expand around the US and beyond. Marisa’s duties as Cities Coordinator ensure that she spends time working on nearly every city that The Infatuation exists in, and she therefore knows more about restaurants all around the country than pretty much anyone.
Dina SmitherProduct Engineer
Dina joined The Infatuation at the beginning of 2017, after having spent time at Vimeo. She’s an incredibly talented engineer, and works tirelessly to make our website and apps suck less. Other facts about Dina: she’s fluent in Arabic, hates social media, likes to box, and owns a cat for the sole purpose of killing mice. She’s also apparently a big fan of Tom & Jerry cartoons because who after 1961 still buys a cat to kill mice? You should follow her on Instagram. Good luck finding her.
Rob AndersonDirector Of Marketing
Rob works on our Marketing team, and we realized he'd be a perfect fit for the job as soon as we met him. What we didn’t realize is that Rob was so perfect for the job he’d spend hours bleaching, tinting, and dying his beard the right shade of blue ombre so as to look on-brand for Instagram and Snapchat stories. Rob previously spent more than five years working in marketing at Uber and Grindr in Chicago, though it is unclear what color his beard was during those tenures.
Eileen TwumLondon Content & Operations Manager
Eileen is a born and bred Londoner, though she spent more than five years in New York City eating and being brainwashed by The Infatuation. Despite almost a decade working in management consulting, her Excel skills are still rated “beginner,” though her pie eating skills are decidedly “expert. ” And she insists that you know that she means meat pies, not the American pies. Those don’t have meat in them.
Brock ManheimPartnerships Producer
Brock grew up outside of Washington DC, went to college in Connecticut, and has been living in NYC since graduation. Here at The Infatuation he is often referred to as "deck ninja" or "presentation guru" or "person with the coolest name," all of which are perfect reflections of his personality. Brock eats everything with Old Bay on it, including our competitors.
Lizzie GreeneSales & Partnerships Director
Not only is Lizzie Greene a seasoned Sales & Partnerships executive, she is also The Infatuation’s most talented home cook. And no, not just because she is the only person who cooks at home. Lizzie makes her own breads, pastas, and even charcuterie, her favorite culinary word is “encrusted,” and she likes to talk (and eat) with her hands. Which means you do not want to get into an argument with her at dinner.
Sarah ScottUser Experience Manager
Sarah is our User Experience Manager and in-house movie critic, except La La Land is the only move she’s ever seen. So yeah, she’s pretty good at that. And much like how Chris Pratt trains raptors in Jurassic World, Sarah trains and manages humans who pose as dinosaurs, also known as the people you are talking to when you use Text Rex, our SMS based restaurant recommendation service. Sarah is extremely passionate about Text Rex and scaling the service around the world, and she even hopes to one day become a dinosaur herself.
Matt TervoorenNYC Staff Writer
Matt originally put himself on The Infatuation’s radar when he shared his personal hit list of NYC restaurants - a color-coded spreadsheet with thousands of places organized with notes and filters. Before joining us full time, he used his magical knowledge of natural wine bars and tiny Sri Lankan restaurants to help power Text Rex. Now, Matt is a staff writer responsible for reviewing restaurants and writing guides in New York. His hobbies include eating and going out to restaurants, which really should have been obvious by now.
Emma MustichStaff Editor
As a Staff Editor, Emma oversees the day-to-day operations of several Infatuation cities, including Chicago, Seattle, and some other places that have nicer weather. She joined The Infatuation after five and a half years as an editor at The Huffington Post. Before that, she studied at Cambridge University (yes, the one in England, and no, she's not British), which makes her the most educated person at the company. By a lot.
Adrian KaneChicago Staff Writer
Adrian has a photographic memory for every meal she's eaten in Chicago since moving there in 2006, and as a result, her brain has been the subject of several studies conducted by Harvard researchers. That second part isn't actually true. Yet. Before taking over The Infatuation Chicago in 2017, she was a talented hair colorist, and clients used to call the salon asking her where they should be eating. Other than going to restaurants, Adrian's hobbies include hanging out with her German Shepherd, working out, and seeing how many science fiction references she can sneak into her reviews. If you know what a Tribble is, get in touch.
Aimee RizzoSeattle Writer
We initially got connected with Aimee after Heather, our Director Of Events, met Aimee’s mom at a wine bar in NYC back in 2014 and shared a bowl of popcorn. Leading up to The Infatuation Seattle launch in 2017, Aimee popped back up and proved herself to be the perfect person for the job. Aimee previously worked in TV production, and plays the piano, trumpet, and something called the euphonium which she is still trying to convince us is a real thing.
Nelly SimonianSocial Media Producer
Nelly grew up in Dallas and went to NYU, but did not enjoy wearing coats, so she made the move to LA, where she is now a Social Media Producer. In addition to managing several of our Instagram accounts and working closely with the partnerships team to execute brand partnerships, she is the LA office's Chief Snack Orderer and Executive Director Of Making Sure The Plants Don't Die, two promotions she fought very hard for.
Hannah AlbertineNYC Editorial Assistant
It wasn’t until her 18th year that Hannah realized Will Smith was never going to show up outside of her West Philadelphia home and make her the star of her own sitcom, so she decided to study creative writing at a small liberal arts college in Maine instead. Hannah now spends her time browsing neighborhood blogs for NYC restaurant openings and asking people if they’ve seen newly-released Netflix documentaries. She’s still secretly waiting for Will to reach out.
Max BonemCity Guides Editor
Before joining The Infatuation, Max spent a year traveling through Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Along the way, he visited many cities and wrote many guides, which makes his role as City Guides editor oddly fitting. Besides giving people travel tips, he enjoys eating vast amounts of khao soi, making breakfast tacos, and discussing Star Wars theories.
Jackson LynchProduct Designer
Jackson is a curious and relaxed designer living in Queens, and he works on our product team, making our website look about 100 times better than it used to. A Boston boy born and raised, he traded in his T-pass for a MetroCard and regrets nothing. Jackson enjoys cooking, cooking with alcohol, alcohol, comedy, podcasts and karaoke.
Jorge DavilaPlatform Engineer
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Jorge moved to NYC at the age of 20 with his indie rock band with hopes of making it big and not having to finish college. He ended up failing at both of those goals, but it all worked out - he ended up graduating with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics, and now works on our Engineering team. Before joining The Infatuation, he oversaw technology at Mommy Nearest, working on all layers of the stack, and managing the engineering and design team. When not coding or being a Silicon Valley archetypical tech consumer, he likes to play drums and soccer.
Todd NeedlePartnerships Producer
Todd grew up in Miami, and as a kid he briefly had frosted tips (actually true) and a pet alligator (not actually true). After trading in the sun for the University of Michigan, he spent time working in food/tech/media in San Francisco until he made his way to New York. At The Infatuation, Todd is on the partnerships team, working on pre-sales and new business concepts. In other words, he makes all of our presentations and decks look as fresh as he did with frosted tips.
Marika JayneCommunity Manager
Marika grew up in San Diego, went to college in Santa Cruz, lived in San Francisco, and now lives in Los Angeles. However, she does occasionally leave California. Marika works on the Social team at Infatuation, previously worked at BuzzFeed, and secretly aspires to be an a capella singer. She’s gluten free, but we promise we’re nice to her about it.
Sydney MarguleasPartnerships & Sales Strategist
Sydney grew up in Palm Springs, California - home to Coachella and everyone’s grandparents. She made the move to the East Coast to go to Boston University and later moved to NYC. Her background is in the creative ad agency world (KBS, Droga5) working in business development, and she’s on Team Partnerships at The Infatuation. Sydney is also a talented painter, but unfortunately she rejected our request to hand-paint all of our portraits for this About page.
