Ingas Bar

Ingas Bar is a tavern, sure, but it feels like a tavern that’s all dressed up. In true tavern fashion they’ve got a pretty superb double patty burger, but there’s also a tangy celery victor salad, and mortadella showered in grated brown butter, which you can snack on at the bar by yourself, or in the dining room, at a candlelit table that's covered with butcher paper. Ingas is the kind of neighborhood spot where you might see a celebrity, do a triple take, and realize they’re here because this is their neighborhood spot, too. But even if you’re not a resident of Brooklyn Heights’ fruit streets, you might find yourself going back to Inga’s often for burgers and negronis, and that feeling of being somewhere a little bit special, and a little bit like home.
