MattChews used to be a late-night haven operating out of the Forrest Eatery ghost kitchen. After a temporary hiatus (we mourned their saucy bulgogi cheesesteaks each night the clock struck midnight), the Asian fusion restaurant opened at Municipal Market with an expanded menu. Unfortunately, they only operate during daylight hours. But we’re happy to add them to our lunch rotation since we can reunite with their cheesesteak and other great fusion dishes like their bánh mì smashburger. Somehow two patties and a buttery bun come fresher than the Prince of Bel-Air with the addition of pickled carrots, cucumber, and jalapeños.
