Where To Eat At T-Mobile Park

Many Mariners fans may head to T-Mobile Park for the trident-wielding home run celebrations, Mariner Moose antics, or quietly weeping at the eternal hope that this will be the year the team finally makes the World Series. We’re there mainly to eat. Sure, it’s easy to go the classic hot dog and Cracker Jacks route, but the Mariners’ spacious ballpark has much more to offer, including katsu curry bowls, poke, and square pizza that may be more coveted than an Ichiro bobblehead. We found the best snacks and drinks to get between innings while everyone else is working on the Wave.

Kissd Slice

Location: Moto, Section 312

Grab some Detroit-style squares at Moto, which we’re pleased to report do live up to the hype that once prompted months-long waitlists at their West Seattle location. The sourdough crust has a great tang, pepperoni cups are curled with charred rims, and lacy cheese edges make up for a kind-of-soggy bottom. As great as these pies are, lines are often unreasonably long—show up at least a half-hour before the game starts if you’re set on a slice.

Moto Swirl

Location: Moto Swirl, Section 312

Moto’s soft serve operation is right next to their pizza counter, making it convenient to grab a huge cup as Part Two of a sausage-topped slab. They specialize in Flavor Burst—imagine a regular soft serve machine with artificial syrups pumped into the ridges, causing, well, bursts of flavor. You get it. Anyway, there's nothing quite like custardy cold vanilla with a karate chop of blue raspberry essence.

Area 206 Curry With Katsu

Location: Tamari Bar, Section 133

Capitol Hill’s Japanese izakaya joint Tamari Bar never fails us, and their T-Mobile outpost is no exception. If you order the Area 206 curry with crispy pork katsu here, you’ll be handed a container filled with thick and sweet Japanese curry, furikake-topped white rice, and golden katsu gently laid on top. The whole dish is rich and comforting, but it’s not something we recommend having in your hands if a foul ball comes your way.

Ahi Poke Nachos

Location: Catch By Just Poke, Section 132

Raw fish probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when the entire stadium smells like hot dog water and fryer oil, but you should make an exception for the ahi nachos at Catch. Marinated cubes of chilled tuna poke are refreshing on a hot day, ramen chips add a nice crunch, and they don’t skimp on the sinus-clearing spicy mayo drizzle.

Tofu Tots

Location: Marination, The 'Pen

While this local Hawaiian chain has two outposts in the stadium, the one by The ‘Pen is far better. Their adobo-spiced tofu tots are a lovely little departure from the chicken tender chokehold at T-Mobile Park—and they work as a perfect snack whether you’re vegetarian or not. Don’t forget to add on a dangerously slurpable strawberry frosé.

Vanilla-Chocolate Swirl

Location: Mister Softee, Section 185

East Coast transplants, rejoice. The creamy soft serve stylings of legendary New Jersey-based franchise Mister Softee can be found at multiple nooks throughout T-Mobile Park, which is convenient when cravings for a vanilla-chocolate swirl obliterated with rainbow sprinkles strike harder than George Kirby’s pitches. The ice cream’s fluffy, sweet, and worth the trip to T-Mobile all by itself.

Crab Sandwich & Old Bay Fries

Location: The Way Back Crab Shack, Section 187

If going to a game results in a few awkward run-ins with an ex, your boss, or that one friend you have totally forgotten to text back, there’s solace in this decadent crab sandwich. We love sneaking bites of the creamy crab meat and mellow slices of tomato slapped between herb-speckled slices of sourdough. And the Old Bay dusted shoestring fries here are mainly great. Besides a few strays that taste like they’ve been fighting for their life in the fryer, they have a nice peppery flavor and are a solid alternative to the vampire-repellent garlic fries at most stands.

Mega Nachos

Location: Cantina Nachos, Sections 109, 143, 195, 212, 319, 333

If you’re going to buy gimmicky food when three seltzers deep, this is the place to do it. Yes, these nachos come in a helmet you could reuse for a six-year-old batter, and yes they are $24 dollars before tax—but they’re also really tasty. A big scoop of creamy white queso makes its way to every chip, and the nachos come topped with mounds of smoky carnitas and what looks like an entire jar of jalapeños.

Chicken Tenders & Fries

Location: Lil Woody's, The 'Pen

Maybe your grand plan at the park was a basket of chicken tenders and fries all along. We’ve all been there, and we’ll be there again. While many of the stadium’s tenders taste more or less the same, the ones at Lil Woody’s have the best chance of being fried fresh. Skip the mediocre burgers here, dunk those crispy strips in your plastic cup of Ken’s ranch, and Go Mariners.

Mini Chicken Chimichangas

Location: Edgar's Cantina, The 'Pen

If your body has become 80% beer by mid-game, nothing soaks booze up quite like the miniature chicken chimichangas at this Mexican spot. They may taste a touch burnt at times, but that shouldn’t stop you from pounding these tender shredded poultry-stuffed bundles loaded with sour cream.
