There are restaurants, and then there are restaurants where you want to stay for several hours, order another cocktail, and then order one more just so you don’t have to leave. Theodora, Miss Ada’s sister in Fort Greene, is one of those. The Mediterranean-leaning seafood spot looks like a mid-century modern cave, with couples perched at the bar, and groups in the back room, doing pickled mushroom shots. Try the za’atar kubaneh, which looks like a savory cinnamon roll, and the dry-aged kampachi, then move on to larger plates like salmon belly and grilled branzino. Dishes lean small and pricey overall, so save this place for weekday special occasions, or a hot little date. Make room for the baklava sundae and an Aristaeus cocktail—it has tequila, honey, and feta in it.
