This Midtown East restaurant is bright and airy, but the Japanese curry they make is thick, dark and sweet. It's made from scratch, slow-simmered, and served with rice and salad, or udon, as well as toppings like pork or chicken katsu. They also have a sushi menu with rolls and bowls, but your focus should be on the deeply beefy curry, in any form you prefer. Each bite takes you on a trip from sweet to bitter to spicy, and it's so orange with turmeric, it's almost brown. If you're wearing a white shirt, beware.
