Peck’s does beautiful things with breakfast sandwiches. They’ve got your classic bacon or sausage, egg, and cheese, but there’s also one with cream cheese, one with house-smoked pastrami, and our personal favorite, The Golden One: fried eggs, cheddar, green chiles, and a latke, all on a Portuguese bun.
There’s nowhere to sit inside the Myrtle Avenue coffee shop, but there’s a heated backyard if the weather’s nice, or you can take your sandwich to go—we’ve eaten them in bed, in a moving car, and they’ve even held up all the way to Jacob Riis Beach, an hour away. Peck’s also makes lunch sandwiches, if you’re egg-averse, and they have another location nearby called Peckish. It doesn’t have prepared food, but it does have pastries, and tables for getting a little work done while drinking a cappuccino.
