Gnocchi on 9th
Included In
Does Gnocchi on 9th, a small counter service spot in the East Village, have life-altering gnocchi? No. But it does cost just $10, and it’s served in a Chinese-food takeout box. To make it even more internet-friendly, you can add a ball of burrata for $3. This is a perfectly fine lunch that will feel more home-made than whatever your local hot bar has on offer. Go for the pomodoro, which is better than the rather dense, stick-to-your-teeth gnocchi it sits on, instead of the vodka. The sauce is bright, light, and happy to receive a sprinkle of parm and red pepper flakes. If you're in the area and need a walking pasta, this one will keep you satisfied until your next meal.
