Hands on History: Queer Pride and Possibility at King Manor Museum

In the 19th century, queer communities used floriography, the secret language of flowers, to communicate with each other. Learn about this and more at King Manor’s Hands on History: Queer Pride and Possibility event on June 3. From 1-4pm, kids and adults can come in to do crafts and take a tour of the museum. Margaret Middleton’s zine “Looking for Queer Possibility in the Museum” will also be available—in it, she encourages visitors to explore queer interpretations in art where they might have long gone unacknowledged.
