Cindy's
Included In
Open since 1948, Cindy’s is an Eagle Rock landmark where the atmosphere is better than the food itself. That’s not to say the food at this revamped retro diner is bad, it’s just that the atmosphere is tough to beat. There’s a long linoleum bar facing the kitchen where neighborhood people congregate to eat omelets and grumble about potholes. The big orange booths are usually filled with people eating carrot cake and doing crosswords together. Cindy’s has also been the backdrop for countless movies and TV shows, ranging from Surviving Christmas to Parenthood, making it a good spot for out-of-towners who enjoy that sort of thing.
