Tinx’s Favorite LA Restaurants With Rich Mom Energy

Barry’s Bootcamp membership not required.

Welcome to Perfect For, a weekly Infatuation series of ultra-specific restaurant recommendations from people around town you don't know personally, but might wish you did. Today, TikTok star Tinx shares five LA restaurants that are perfect for feeling like a rich mom.

Picture this: You’re in East Hollywood, and the sun is shining. You’re waiting for your table on the sidewalk outside of Found Oyster, and you’re feeling hot in your tiny top and big pants. You’re enjoying a chilled red and deliberating between a seafood tower or the steak. But if you were to ask Christina Najjar, better known as Tinx, she’ll tell you to stop wasting your time and just order both. You didn’t come here on a Sunday afternoon to be sensible. You came here to bask in—and maybe even exude your very own—Rich Mom Energy.

Even if you’re “not on TikTok,” someone has certainly texted you one of Tinx’s videos. Maybe it was one about dying her hair while mercury was in retrograde, or perhaps it was one of her Rich Mom Starter Packs. (And maybe your friend who sent you those was not-so-subtly trying to tell you something.)

Here are Tinx’s picks for where to go in LA when you want to feel like a rich mom yourself, without having a child named Wolfe or a Range Rover you’re too scared to parallel park. If you’re feeling inspired by her recommendations—she did, after all, tell you to order that steak—check out her new book The Shift, an equally-of-the-moment guide to becoming the main character of your dating life.

“If Rich Mom Energy was a restaurant, it would be this restaurant. The food is just really, really good. It has the vibe of a private club—very luxurious. My favorite things on the menu are the Tequila + Carrot (which, in my opinion, is one of the best cocktails in LA), the pesto pasta (which they can make gluten-free, for all my gluten-free baddies out there), and the lobster pasta. Oh, and also the steak—honestly, everything, but definitely those things. If you do bread you probably don't live in LA, but if you do eat bread, the bread slathered with their butter is an absolute must.”

“When I first ate at this restaurant, it was that feeling that some people describe when they meet the love of their life. I truly cannot explain how fabulous this restaurant is. It’s seafood heavy, which is my favorite, and the trout dip will bring you to tears.

What you’re gonna want to do is go and put your name in, because there are no reservations. Drink a bottle of orange wine, maybe a little pet nat, while you wait, and then order literally everything on the menu down to the key lime pie. You’re gonna be thinking: ‘Tinx, should I get a seafood tower and a steak and fries?’ And the answer is yes. Yes, you should.

It’s fantastic, and no notes apart from the fact that it’s in the shadow of the Scientology building. So if you happen to get drunk and walk by after, don’t shout weird things, because I’ve done it and you get really weird looks.”

“One time I swear I saw Leonardo Dicaprio here, although I can't confirm—it’s not a fact, but it’s a probable—and the main thing that you go here for is the free dip. One thing about me is that I love free stuff, and the dip is unlimited so you can eat as much as you want of it. It's so good. I don't know what it’s made of. There’s been rumors that it’s made of fish eggs, there’s been rumors that it’s made of avocado, but I really don’t care— they could put tar in that dip and I would still eat it. I do ask for crudité, though, because if I’m going to be eating pounds of dip, you have to balance it out with a vegetable.”

“Again, I love seafood. I also love an orange wine with a little personality—something with an attitude, some skin contact, that kind of thing. The weirder the label, the better. If the label of the wine was drawn by the person’s five-year-old child who made the wine, that’s how I know it’s going to be f*cking delicious.

What I like to get at Dudley is the fries. I think that they’re the top three fries in LA. They also have an amazing burger, and they have so many crudos—they make a crudo out of everything. If you can catch it, they can make it into a crudo, and I love that for them.”

“It’s a classic, and pound-for-pound still one of the best restaurants in LA. Go to have a power meeting with your agent or your lawyer—or maybe you’re interviewing for your second husband, if you’re a rich mom. My favorite things on the menu are the grilled vegetable salad and the ice cream sundae. Just really, really solid picks. And the flowers are great, because you’re gonna want to take an Instagram.”
